Chestermere Lake is an Irrigation Reservoir.
In this video you can see where the water comes in from the Bow River (before industrial Calgary). You can also see where it leaves the lake on the South end of the lake. There is also another outflow on the North end of the lake. The water changes over in the lake completely about every 4 days. The water quality is excellent!
You can sail, motorboat, waterski, fish and swim in the lake. We do all of these things. We also kayak and Kevin (our son) is pretty good on a stand up board. We truly enjoy living on the lake at Chestermere.
