Minimal commute time

It only takes about 20 to 30 minutes (depending on time of day) to get to downtown Calgary.  Chestermere is 20 minutes to the Calgary International Airport.  There are numerous industrial parks that are also close to Lake Chestermere.  Stoney Trail also makes getting  to any area of the city a fast commute. Quality schools in the neighborhood

Lake Chestermere is part of the Rocky View School Division and the Calgary Catholic School District, which gives you the choice of enrolling your kids in public schools or in separate schools. After School Activities.

Martial Arts, Dance, Fitness Classes, hockey, soccer, ringette there is a community centre that arranges family events throughout the year.  The Calgary Yacht club operates out of Chestermere and they have great sailing programs.  The city also has programs for families.  Dawsons Landing will have a new civic centre and field house.

Medical, Dental, Physio, Chiropractic, Medical Lab, Family Support.

In Lake Chestermere you can get into see a Doctor on the same day.  There are three medical clinics that are taking new patients.  There is a medical lab in town, two chiropractic clinics, two physio clinics, acupuncturist.  Family support is provided by the town and the public health clinic. Shopping in Chestermere

There are two major grocery stores in Chestermere.  Safeway and No Frills in town.  There is a Cobbs Bakery, A Dollarama, A consignment store, and a variety of other businesses in town.  East Hills Shopping Centre is just 5 minutes away and it has a Walmart and Costco as major tenants.  There are 56 businesses located here.

There are new communities opening up in Chestermere and you can have a single family home in the Low $400k range.  Resale homes in Chestermere offer incredible value, with most selling for below replacement value.  The older the home (1990+) the bigger the lot and the closer to the lake.

We have seen the communities of Lakeside Greens, Lakeview Landing, Westmere, Chesterview Estates, The Cove and Kinniburgh develop.  Showhomes are open in Kinniburgh, Westmere, Chelsea, Dawson’s Landing and Waterford.  We are looking forward to the amenities that Chelsea and Dawson’s Landing will bring. We have seen the rate of sale increase substantially in late 2020 and more so in 2021.  The Benchmark price for Chestermere year over year was up 1% in January and 7.2% in February.  This means that the higher priced homes are selling.  As of the end of February there was 3.66 months of supply.  This is a very healthy market to sell in.  More homes should come on the market towards spring, as they always do.
