Golden Oldie Thursdays!For adults 50 and over Enjoy beverages homemade baking and music. No membership required. Whitecappers drop in centre Novemeber 20th and December 11 from 1 pm to 3 pm. Chestermere Whitecappers AssociationEstablished in 1983, we are a social club for Chestermere area residents over the age of fifty. 2006-07 PROGRAMSThe Chestermere Whitecappers meet in the community center on the main floor in the South Building on the front of the building. POT LUCK SUPPER: Last Tuesday of every month at 5:30 pm GENERAL MEETING: Every second month, Tuesdays at 1:30 pm GAMES AFTERNOON: 1:30 - 4 pm. Play a game or just drop in for coffee and a visit. We enjoy playing pool, shuffleboard and bocce ball. BOWLING: Tuesdays at 10 am CURLING: Thursdays at 10 am TAI CHI: Fridays at 11 am A number of day trips and get-aways are organized each year. In the past year we have attended Rosebud Theatre, Nakoda Lodge, Canmore two night getaway, Kananaskis Fall Fling, Christmas dinner and visits to other clubs. WE WELCOME NEW MEMBERS FOR MORE INFORMATION CALL: HANDIBUS SERVICES AND THE PRINCE OF PEACE BUS ARE COMING!...starting Thursday, April 5, the Prince of Peace bus started its new route through Chestermere. For only $10/round trip, this community bussing service, for seniors 55+, is provided by EnCharis and runs on Thursdays at varying times throughout the day (SCHEDULE below). The pick-up & return point will be in front of the Chestermere Safeway, with drop-off/pick-up points at Marlborough and Sunridge Malls. ...and, starting soon, Rocky View Regional Handibus will provide Handibus services to Chestermere and surrounding area.
